The STA is very fortunate to have the world’s best speakers on technical analysis, trading and fund management address its London conferences and monthly meetings.
For example John Murphy, Robert Prechter, Martin Pring, Dr Alexander Elder, Tom DeMark, Linda Raschke, Anthony Bolton (Fidelity), Hugh Hendry, Tony Plummer and the chief technical analysts/strategists from major investment banks such as HSBC, JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, Nomura, UBS, RBS, Lloyds etc. have all addressed STA members.
They continue to speak at the STA’s monthly meetings and to teach on STA educational courses.

Valérie Gastaldy graduated from ESSEC in 1985 to join immediately France’s largest broker at the time, Meeschaert-Rousselle, where she launched the first OTC index option in 1986, before being a market-maker on MONEP and then a prop ‘trader. Bill graduated from the University of Virginia in 1966 and also has an MBA from the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management, Phoenix. Richard started his career in the City in 1983 gaining a lot of knowledge and experience through very turbulent and evolutionary economic times. In the early days he was one of the main participants in the traditional option market, and the then nascent traded option market going on to become one of the principal LIFFE traders in index options.
