The second, ‘The Life Cycle Hypothesis’, was published in 2018. This book explores the idea that there is a fundamental, and very specific, pattern of evolution behind fluctuations in financial markets and in economic activity.

STA Monthly Meeting April 2013 William Gann’s Law of Vibration

Tony Plummer will address the subject matter of his new book – The Law of Vibration: The Revelation of William D Gann.

The book has been more than 20 years in the making, and it reveals the extraordinary pattern of oscillation that Mr Gann hid in “The Tunnel Thru The Air”. The pattern has a long – and secret – history, and is central to a general ‘law’ of vibration that may well permeate the universe. This law directs the processes of change in collective human behaviour and can be used to anticipate movements in financial markets, to forecast trends in economic activity, and to judge the validity (or otherwise) of economic policy initiatives. The pattern associated with the law of vibration is objective, verifiable, and accurate. It validates the assumptions that underlie technical analysis and it is likely to find applications in a whole range of scientific disciplines.

STA Monthly Meeting May 2008 Recurrence & Revolution: The Credit Crisis in Context

Financial market cycles need to be seen in the context of the long-term economic cycles of which they are a part. However, the relationships are not deterministic: all markets have their own individual patterns and rhythms, and multi-dimensional feedback processes are involved. So, although the current credit crunch has arrived ‘on time’, it is unlikely to have the results that many now fear. Indeed, the emergent patterns are more consistent with a new wave of secular inflation than with an imminent deflation.

IFTA 2014 Neuroscience of trading

Neuroscience of trading – Tony Plummer explains how the brain and body co-evolved and that the ‘mind‘ involves the brain and the body. He then goes on to talk about Prospect Theory and how to neutralise it, followed by discussing the implications of neural networks.
