For the sixteenth year running, the Society of Technical Analysts Ltd (STA) Education Committee is holding its Diploma course in Technical Analysis. This year it will be held at London School of Economics in Aldwych.

Technical analysis has become an important part of most investment house activity. The STA is the professional body associated with technical analysis and only Fellows and leading members teach on the Diploma course at the LSE. STA courses may be suitable for the annual PIA Continuous Professional Development Programme.

The Course consists of twelve Wednesday evenings starting on 11 January 2012 followed by a half day Exam Preparation Day (including Report writing) on Thursday 29 March 2012 and leads to the Exam on Wednesday 18 April 2012. Evening sessions are from 6.00 to 8.30 pm. The Exam Preparation Session is from 2.00 to 5.00pm. The Exam itself lasts 3 hours.

The fee covers the exam, tuition as described, and 12 months membership of the Society of Technical Analysts.

Normal Price: £2795 - Including one year Associate Membership* to the STA.

Early Booking Price: £2595 (until 17 Dec 2011).

You must contact the STA Office to arrange for a suitable exam site before booking this exam We normally require the use of the British Council or similar. You are also responsible for paying all and any fees incurred at the exam site.

As part of our policy of offering educational opportunities to members, the Education Committee have agreed to open up the Diploma course to all members. 

Following the introductory session, all units are tutored by specialists in each particular technique. This provides an ideal opportunity for members to refresh or augment their knowledge in a formal structured environment without having to commit to a long-term course.

Sessions are priced at £250 each, although a discounted price of £200 per session is available if 5 or more sessions are booked.

The April 2012 Diploma Examination will be held at 14:00 hrs in Central London and lasts 3 hours. Registration at 13.30 hours.
