RICHARD ADCOCK MSTA Richard is UBS’s Global Head of Technical Strategy, specialising in Candlestick analysis, combining it with momentum and trending techniques to establish both long and short-term trading strategies. He was voted top Fixed Income Technical strategist in the Technical Analyst magazine poll for 2009 and 2011 and runner-up in 2010, as well as previously being voted number 1 in the Best Individual Fixed Income Technical Strategist section of the Extel awards. Richard has been at UBS since 2000. Previously, he was head of technical strategy for HSBC’s ETD desk. Richard started as a technical analyst in 1986 at Investment Research of Cambridge Ltd.  

     
 

THOMAS ANTHONJ MSTA Thomas Anthonj is Executive Director and Senior Technical Strategist of FX Strategy, JPMorgan.
He joined JPMorgan in September 2009 taking over the role of an FX Technical Strategist. His main focus is on G10 and European currencies where he develops trading - and investment strategies mainly on the basis of Elliott -and Fibonacci-applications. He is author of the flagship publication FX Tech London Open and co-author of FX Markets Weekly. Prior to his role with JPMorgan Thomas was heading the Central desk for technical analysis with ABN Amro bank in Amsterdam for 9 years covering all asset classes and traded STIRT products as of 1998 with ABN Amro Bank in Frankfurt. From 1988 to 1998 he was involved with proprietary trading in government bonds and futures with Chemical Bank, UBS and ABB Treasury was his main responsibility. Thomas is giving regular lectures for the Society of Technical Analysts.

     
 

JEREMY DU PLESSIS FSTA Jeremy is head of technical analysis at Updata and founded Indexia Research in 1983. Jeremy is an expert on Point and Figure charts. He lectures the Point and Figure module for the STA, and sets the Point and Figure module for the International Federation of Technical Analysts. Jeremy has taught technical analysis to thousands of professional traders and investors over the past 20 years. He is a fellow of the STA and author of the book ‘The definitive guide to Point and Figure’.

     
 

LUISE KLIEM MSTA During a 20-year City career Luise Kliem worked first as a commodity broker, then as a stockbroker, before becoming a full-time technical analyst. She was Senior Technical Analyst and Director at Merrill Lynch in the 1990s, then joined Commerzbank Securities as Head of Technical Analysis. Since leaving the City in 2001 she has been taking on consultancy roles. She now mainly works as consultant to the Credit Suisse Technical Analysis team, and is an examiner for the STA Diploma, as well as a regular lecturer on STA courses.

     
 

CLIVE LAMBERT MSTA Clive is the founder, and continues to be the main contributor, for FuturesTechs. He has been in the City for 24 years, has been in the Futures Market for 20 years as a Broker and Trader, and has been writing technical analysis for over 10 years. He is an active member of the Society of Technical Analysts and has been enlisted as a regular lecturer on the Society's annual Diploma Course, covering a wide range of subjects over the years. He was on the board between 2003 and 2011.

     
 

DAVID LINTON MSTA David is founder and CEO of Updata and well known commentator in the technical analysis of financial markets. Updata’s technical analysis is used by clients in over 40 countries and relied on by traders and analysts for their decisions. He is based in New York running Updata’s US business and is a member of The American Association of Professional Technical Analysts. He is a Master of Financial Technical Analysis (MFTA) and the author of ‘Cloud Charts – Trading Success with the Ichimoku Technique’.    

     
 

GEORGE MACLEAN MSTA George is currently an examiner for the STA Diploma and Level II of the IFTA Diploma in Technical Analysis. Previously he was a Director of European Technical Analysis for Standard and Poor’s MMS where he analysed the European Cash Bond Market, Bond, Index and Interest Rate Futures from a technical perspective. He has been a lecturer on the South Bank University/STA Diploma Course and the LSE/STA Diploma Course. George is the author of the book ‘Fibonacci and Gann Applications in Financial Markets.’

     
 

WILLIAM MOORE MSTA William is a technical strategist responsible for contributing to the RBS Global Technical product across all asset classes. Mr. Moore joined RBS in 2009 from Tradermade International, a real-time technical analytics vendor, where he was a Senior Account Manager.

     
 

TREVOR NEIL MSTA Trevor Neil has been a trader for over 30 years and a daily user of technical analysis. He was the celebrated head of technical analysis at Bloomberg LP and prior to that a floor trader for Merrill Lynch. He has served on the board of the STA. Today, the top investment firms and funds throughout Europe choose him to train their staff. He also delivers the popular ‘Friday Technical Analysis Surgery’ on the Thomson Reuters Webex.

     
 

TONY PLUMMER FSTA Tony has worked in financial markets for more than 35 years, and currently uses his technical research on group behaviour to generate strategic economic and financial market analysis for fund management companies and hedge funds. He is a Fellow of the STA and was, until recently, a Visiting Professorial Fellow in economics at Queen Mary, University of London. His seminal book 'Forecasting Financial Markets' is now in its 6th edition and has been translated into a number of languages. He is the director of Helmsman Economics Ltd. Tony is also on the investment advisory committee of the Osiris Property Fund.

     
 

MALCOLM PYROR MSTA Malcolm Pryor is a private trader and investor, a trading coach, and the author of three books and two DVDs on trading. His book “The Financial Spread Betting Handbook” is a best seller and now in its second edition.  He holds the rank of Premier Grand Master at bridge.

     
 

GUIDO RIOLO MSTA After completing an MBA in finance, Guido worked at Delta Forex, an Italian consultancy specialising  in Elliott Wave analysis on currencies. In 1998 he started at Bloomberg, where his first task was to set up the TA group for the Analytics desk, supporting the European Head of Technical Analysis. In January 2005 he was promoted to Head of TA for the EMEA region. In March 2010 Guido became a member of the board of directors of the Society of Technical Analysts in the UK, with focus on education. Guido presented twice at the IFTA conference, the first time in 2007 on "Trading the DeMark Levels", the second time in 2011 on "Risk: Technicals, Fundamentals and Various Considerations".

     
 

AXEL RUDOLPH FSTA Axel was Vice-Chairman Europe on the board of the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA) and is a Fellow and Vice-Chairman of the Society of Technical Analysts. He is also responsible for education and programme organisation at the STA. Axel has also been teaching part of the STA Diploma course at the London School of Economics for the past eleven years and now runs the course. Mr Rudolph is a director and senior technical analyst at Commerzbank AG. Previously he was Dow Jones’ Chief Technical Analyst for Europe, a bond, derivatives and proprietary trader in Paris and London. He holds a MSc (Econ) in European Studies from the London School of Economics and a BSc (Hons) in Economics from University College London.
